We went on a unbelievable hop on hop off bus tour which was very informative and gave an excellent overview of the city and its fascinating history. We did not go into the citadel, but did walk up to the outside, it was very spectacular. We loved a quiet stroll along the Leith Water Walk and thru Dean Village and also loved just strolling alongside the Royal Mile listening to the different avenue performers on the Fringe Festival. The Grassmarket area was interesting, and we liked saying hello to Greyfriars little Bobby, such a tragic however candy story.
